Personalized iris art
Your eyes,
forever.
The one pattern on earth that is only yours, photographed with our at-home kit and turned into art.
What is Eterna
Iris photography,
brought to your door.
Only a handful of studios in the United States photograph the iris at this magnification. Reaching one means travel, a waiting list, and an appointment.
We put the lens in an envelope instead. You take the photograph at home, in your own light, and we turn it into the piece you chose.

What we collect, and why.
An iris is among the most personal things anyone can hand over. This describes exactly what the site collects, who receives it, and what we never do with it — written from what the site does today, not from what it might do later.
Last updated 2 September 2026
01 What we collect
Your account. Your email address, and your password stored only as a one-way hash — we never hold the password itself. We also record whether your email has been verified.
Your order. Your order number, the amount and currency you paid, the payment status, the email address used for the order, and what the order contains. That includes the names you give the people whose irises the artwork is for, because the artwork has to know whose eye is whose.
When you contact us. Your name, your email address, your message, and an order number if you give one.
Your delivery address. Collected by our payment provider when you pay and stored on Eterna's private order record so the studio can fulfil your order.
Your card details. These never reach Eterna. They are entered directly into our payment provider's own form.
Site measurement and security logs. We use a privacy-focused, cookieless analytics tool that counts page views without identifying you. Our server also records request events, including IP addresses, so we can rate-limit sign-in attempts and investigate abuse.
02 Iris photographs
My Profile accepts iris photographs for a specific person on a specific order. The files are kept in private storage and are available only through the signed-in account that owns the order and to the studio while it makes the artwork.
We record the original filename, file type, size, upload status and time so we can receive and review each set reliably. A finished iris asset may be saved to your account for a later order. Eterna will never reuse it for a new order unless you choose it and confirm that it belongs to the same person.
Raw iris photographs are deleted seven days after the studio no longer needs them: after final delivery for an order with physical pieces, or after all digital artwork is ready for a digital-only order. A replaced upload set is deleted seven days after it is superseded. Saved iris assets remain in your account for reuse; contact us to request their removal. We do not use iris photographs for identification, advertising, model training or biometric matching.
03 Finished digital artwork
When a digital artwork is finished, it is stored privately in My Profile. The signed-in account that owns the order can preview and download it. We do not use permanent public file links as the source of truth for your artwork.
04 Cookies
One cookie, eterna_session, which keeps you signed in. It is
strictly necessary, cannot be read by scripts, is sent only over HTTPS, and is
not shared across sites.
We set no advertising or tracking cookies. Our analytics is cookieless. Our payment provider sets its own cookies inside its payment form, which is subject to its privacy policy.
05 Who else receives your information
Three service providers, each doing one job:
- Our payment provider processes payments. It receives your delivery address, your email, the amounts, and a copy of the order contents — which includes the names on the artwork — attached to the payment.
- Our email provider delivers order, account and support email. It receives the address being written to and the contents of that message.
- Our hosting provider runs the site, the database and the domain, and provides the cookieless analytics.
That is the complete list. We do not sell your information, we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers, and no advertising or tracking pixels run on this site.
06 How long we keep it
We keep your account for as long as it is open, and your order records for as long as we need them to make and deliver your order and to meet tax and accounting obligations.
We are not going to quote you a fixed deletion period we have not built yet. If you want your data removed, ask us and we will tell you exactly what we can remove and what we have to keep.
07 How it is protected
The site is served over HTTPS. Passwords are hashed, never stored. Session cookies cannot be read by scripts. Sign-in and contact attempts are rate-limited. Your orders are readable only when you are signed in to the account that placed them. Iris photographs, saved iris previews and finished artwork use the same account and order checks before a file is returned.
08 Asking us about your data
Ask for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to EternaIrisStudio@gmail.com or use the contact form and choose "My order".
We will reply to the email address on your account, so we know we are answering the right person.
09 Children
Eterna is not intended for children. If an order includes a child's iris, the adult placing the order is responsible for it.
10 Photographs of other people
Some designs hold two or three irises. If you order artwork containing someone else's eye, please make sure they are happy for you to do that — you are giving us their name and, later, their photograph.
11 Changes
If this changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes will be described here rather than quietly edited in.

How your order reaches you.
Every Eterna piece is made from a photograph only you can take, so your order travels in both directions before it is finished. A kit comes to you first. Your pieces come to you last.
Last updated 2 September 2026
01 Two things ship, not one
Most orders involve two deliveries. The Iris Kit goes out first — everything you need to photograph your own eye. Your finished pieces go out at the end, once the studio has made them. If you told us at checkout that you already have an Eterna Iris Kit, only the second delivery applies.
Digital artwork is not shipped at all. It appears in your profile to download.
02 Nothing is made until your photographs arrive
This surprises people, so it is worth being plain about: your order is not sitting in a production queue. It is waiting for you.
The sequence is that the kit reaches you, you photograph your iris, you upload the photographs in your profile, and we check that they are usable. Only then does the studio start. If a photograph cannot be used — out of focus, too little light, the iris too small in the frame — we will ask you for another rather than make something poor from it.
03 How long it takes
We cannot honestly give you a single number for order to doorstep, because the largest part of it is not ours. It is how long you take to send your photographs, and that is entirely your call.
What we can time is our own part. Kits usually leave us within a week. Once your photographs are approved, the studio takes about ten to fourteen days to make your pieces, and delivery adds roughly seven to ten days after that.
04 Where we ship, and what it costs
We currently accept delivery addresses in the United States. The checkout shows the total Eterna will charge before you pay.
Refunds, faults and cancellations are covered on the Refund Policy page.
Legal
Refunds and returns.
Every piece is made to order from your own photograph. That limits what we can take back, and this page says where the lines are.
Last updated 2 September 2026
01 What can be returned
Once a piece has been made we cannot accept it back for a change of mind. It carries your eye, and often your name, so there is no second customer for it.
Where consumer law where you live gives you a right of return that we do not match, that law wins. Ask us.
02 Cancelling before we start
Until your photographs are approved and the studio begins, nothing has been made yet, so you can cancel for any reason and get all of your money back.
That lasts as long as we are waiting on your photographs, which for most orders is days rather than hours.
03 Faults, damage and wrong items
Always our problem. If your order arrives damaged, incomplete, or not what you ordered, tell us within fourteen days and we will remake it or refund it, whichever you would rather have. You do not pay return postage on a fault of ours.
Email your order number and a photograph of the problem to EternaIrisStudio@gmail.com. The contact form accepts text only.
Where the law gives you longer than that for a faulty product, it applies.
04 Changing your order
Delivery address changes are fine until your parcel is packed. Design changes are possible before the studio starts, for the same reason a cancellation is.
Delivery timings are on the Shipping page.

The agreement between us.
Plain terms for work made one piece at a time, from a photograph of your own eye. Nothing here is written to catch you out. They include an agreement to settle disputes by arbitration rather than in court — you can opt out of that within 30 days, and the section below says how.
Last updated 2 September 2026
01 Who you are dealing with
This site is operated by Eterna Iris Studio. You can reach us at EternaIrisStudio@gmail.com or through the contact form. Ordering from this site means you accept these terms.
02 Who can order
You need to be 18 or over to place an order. If you are buying a piece as a gift for someone younger, that is fine — you are the customer, and the responsibilities in these terms are yours.
A child’s iris can appear in artwork, but only where the person ordering is that child’s parent or guardian.
03 Your account
You need an account to order, because your account is where you send us your photographs and follow your order. Use an address you actually read: it is how we reach you when your order needs something.
Keep your password to yourself. Anything done from a signed-in session is treated as done by you. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has got in.
04 Placing an order
Prices and availability are as shown at checkout. Your order is an offer to buy, and it is accepted when we take payment and send you a confirmation.
We can decline an order — a pricing error, a design withdrawn, a photograph we cannot work from. If we decline after taking payment, you get all of it back.
05 Your photographs
The part that matters most, so read this one.
You keep ownership of every photograph you send us. You are giving us a narrow licence to hold, adjust and print them for the single purpose of making and delivering your order, and for nothing else. We will not use your iris in advertising, on this site, or on our social accounts unless you tell us separately that we may.
In return you promise two things. First, that the photograph is of your own eye, or that you have the permission of the adult whose eye it is. Second, that where the eye belongs to a child, you are that child’s parent or guardian. Sending us someone’s iris without their agreement is not something we can detect, so this part rests on you.
We may decline a photograph we cannot make good work from, and we will say why.
06 What we make, and what we do not promise
Each piece is an interpretation of your photograph, made by hand. Colour, contrast and the fine structure of the iris vary between pieces, and a screen will never match a print exactly. Two orders from the same eye will not be identical, which is rather the point.
Eterna pieces are decorative. They are not a medical device, not a diagnostic tool, and not a form of identification.
07 Prices and payment
Prices are in the currency shown at checkout. The total beside the payment button is the amount Eterna charges for the order.
Payment is handled by our payment provider: your card details are entered on their form and never reach us or this site.
There is no subscription. Eterna charges once, for the order you place, and never renews anything automatically.
08 Delivery, refunds and cancellation
Covered in full on the Shipping and Refund Policy pages, both of which form part of these terms.
09 Who owns what
You own your iris, and the piece you buy is yours to keep, give away, photograph and enjoy. What you buy is the piece, for personal use — not a licence to reproduce Eterna’s designs commercially or to have them manufactured elsewhere. The site, the brand, the artwork templates and the design catalogue remain ours.
10 Using the site properly
Do not attempt to reach accounts that are not yours, scrape the catalogue, or interfere with the site’s operation. We may close an account that does.
11 Copyright complaints
If you believe something on this site infringes your copyright, write to EternaIrisStudio@gmail.com with enough detail to identify the work, where it appears on the site, how to contact you, and a statement that you believe the use was not authorised.
We will look into it and take down anything we should not be showing. If you think we have removed something of yours by mistake, tell us and we will look again.
12 Other companies’ sites and services
Paying, receiving email from us and following our social accounts all involve companies that are not Eterna. What they do on their own platforms is governed by their terms and their privacy policies, not by ours.
The Privacy Policy names every service that receives your information and what each one gets.
13 Changes to the site and the catalogue
We may add designs, withdraw them, change prices, or take parts of the site down for work. A design being withdrawn does not affect an order already placed for it — if we cannot make something you have paid for, we refund it in full.
14 If something goes wrong
We stand behind what we make: a faulty, damaged or wrong order gets remade or refunded. Beyond that, our liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.
15 The other half of your promise
If someone brings a claim against us because of a photograph you sent us — because it was not yours to send, for instance — you agree to cover the reasonable cost of dealing with it. This is the counterpart to the promise you make about your photographs, and it is the only real protection we have there.
16 The law that applies
These terms are governed by the law of the State of Delaware.
17 Sorting out a disagreement
Read this section carefully. It changes how any dispute between us is resolved, and it limits how you can bring a claim.
Talk to us first. Most problems are a misunderstanding or a fault we will simply fix. Before starting anything formal, send us a description of the problem and what you would like done about it, and give us 30 days to put it right. This costs you nothing and settles almost everything.
If that does not resolve it, you and Eterna agree that the dispute will be settled by binding arbitration on an individual basis, administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, rather than in court. An arbitrator can award the same individual relief a court could. Neither of us will bring or join a claim as part of a class or representative action.
Either of us can still bring an individual claim in small claims court instead, if it qualifies.
You can opt out. Email EternaIrisStudio@gmail.com within 30 days of first accepting these terms, saying that you opt out of arbitration and giving the address on your account. Opting out costs nothing, changes nothing else, and does not affect your order — it only means a dispute would go to court.
18 If part of this does not hold
If a court decides one of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest of them still stand. The unenforceable part is treated as narrowed to whatever the law does allow, rather than taking the agreement down with it.
19 The whole agreement
These terms, together with the Privacy Policy, the Refund Policy and the Shipping page, are the whole of what is agreed between us. Anything said elsewhere — a social post, an old page, a conversation — does not override them.
20 Changes to these terms
If these terms change, the date at the top changes with them, and the version you agreed to is the one in force when you ordered.

Last updated 2 September 2026
01 What we aim for
This site is built to meet WCAG 2.2 level AA. That is the standard we hold ourselves to, and the one we test against.
This page is written from measurements taken on the real site, not from a template. Where something falls short, it is listed below rather than left out.
02 What works today
Measured across every page on 2 September 2026, at a 1280 by 720 desktop window and at 390 pixels wide:
- The whole site can be operated by keyboard, and a “Skip to content” link is the first thing you reach on every page.
- Every page has one main heading, and the headings below it run in order without skipping a level.
- Every navigation region is named, so a screen reader can tell them apart.
- Every form field has a visible label. When something is wrong, the message is tied to the field it belongs to and announced, not just coloured red.
- Every image carries alternative text, and images that are purely decorative are marked as such so they are skipped rather than read out.
- Text contrast passes AA everywhere we measured, the lowest being 5.48 to 1 against a required 4.5.
- Buttons and links are at least 24 by 24 pixels.
- If your system asks for reduced motion, the animations turn off.
- The site reflows to a phone screen without sideways scrolling, and text can be enlarged without losing content.
03 What we have not tested yet
Two limits, stated plainly.
We have tested this site by measurement and by keyboard. We have not yet run it end to end with JAWS, NVDA or VoiceOver, and automated measurement does not catch everything a screen-reader user would hit. If you use one, we want to hear how you get on.
These findings are our own; the site has not yet been through an independent audit. We say so plainly rather than imply a certification we do not hold.
04 The payment step
The card fields at checkout are supplied and rendered by our payment provider, not by us. We can choose how they are placed and labelled on the page around them, but their internal behaviour is theirs.
If you hit an accessibility problem while paying, tell us anyway. We will help you complete the order another way, and we will raise it with them.
05 Telling us about a problem
If any part of this site is hard to use, that is a fault worth fixing and we want to know. Write to EternaIrisStudio@gmail.com or use the contact form.
It helps to know what page you were on, what you were trying to do, and what you were using — but do not let missing any of that stop you writing. A one-line message is better than none.
We will reply, and if we cannot fix something quickly we will tell you what we are doing about it rather than going quiet.
06 Keeping this page honest
The claims above are checked automatically every time the site is built. Duplicate identifiers, labels pointing at the wrong element, broken accessibility references and unnamed navigation regions all fail the build rather than quietly reappearing.
That is what keeps this page true: these particular faults, once fixed, stay fixed.
